I can't even believe the words I'm typing but.. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! I feel so incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am SO excited to raise our son in our new home. As I mentioned in my last post, moving to Arizona was a huge change for my family but it has created so many new paths for us, buying a whole entire house being one of them!
My husband, Anthony, and I have always had a goal of owning a home. For as long as we can remember, we both grew up in rentals which meant minimal decorating and inevitably moving. Being able to give our son stability and a home to make memories in year after year is everything to us. Not to mention, I get to do w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r I want from a design perspective!
The Details
Since Gilbert is booming with developments, the decision to go with new construction came easy for us. The housing market in Arizona is hot and we found that the newly developed communities better fit our wants and needs financially, aesthetically and functionally, compared to existing homes. Since we are the first owners, we were able to select our elevation, finishes and make upgrades to the floor plan to fit our family's needs. I’m putting my Vibes Interiors skills to use and I cant wait to share all of the ideas I've been dreaming up as we turn our house into a home!
The Morgan Home
5 Bedroom, 3.5 Baths
2,936 Square Feet
The elevation we selected is an Urban Farmhouse. We love the clean and structured look of this style.
The floor plan is open and has plenty of space for our growing family, dog babies as well as guests. The structural changes we selected include:
Bedroom Suite at Bedroom 5 which adds a full bathroom that we plan to use as our guest bedroom.
Disappearing wall of glass instead of a standard slider that leads into our backyard. This option is going to make our home look and feel so much lighter, brighter and larger as it creates more of an indoor/outdoor living area.
The feeling of gratitude I have is so immense that I will never be able to put into words. This opportunity is such a blessing and I look forward to sharing the process as it unfolds.
